The AB-8 is an 8-channel balanced bidirectional signal switcher, with each channel configurable as 1-in-2-out or 2-in-1-out. It supports routing of microphone-level signals, line-level signals, and MIDI data. Designed for multi-channel monitoring in studio environments, it enables manual switching between inputs and outputs. Channels can be toggled individually or globally, while master-slave control allows synchronized switching across larger channel counts. The unit also features a fail-safe mode that maintains signal continuity through default routing when power is disconnected.
